Flood Watch… in Basements

Many if not all houses in Farmington Ridge were built with poured basements.  Poured basements have tie rod holes left behind from when the form was removed.  These holes were filled with concrete plugs that may have eroded over time.  Please be sure to check your basement walls for wet or soft areas in the cement.

If you do have any holes that need to be fixed, you can do it yourself with some hydraulic cement (available at places like Home Depot and Lowes).

Here is a link to an e-how guide to perform the repair: http://www.ehow.com/how_12176237_repair-basement-rod-hole.html

Please also be careful walking around the subdivision as there are some areas with a large amount of water due to all the recent rain.
